A native of Scarborough, this former Ryerson Theatre grad slowly worked his way up through Hollywood, making appearances on shows like Lonesome Dove and in The Lost World series. However, 1998 proved as an integral year, first gaining a role in the comedy Holy Man, before landing a role on the sitcom Will & Grace, getting him Emmy awards and celebrity success.
