A native of Toronto, Michaels began his career with the CBC, before being hired by NBC in 1975 to create a late-night variety series. That series, called Saturday Night Live, would turn into one of the top comedy shows of all time, producing legends such as Mike Myers and Adam Sandler. Thanks to his success with SNL, Michaels continues to produce many films and TV programs, including Late Night. It was Michaels, convinced by Peter Soumalias, who helped bring Conan to Toronto. |
