City of Toronto Water Services |
That "orangey, metal thing" pointed out by Conan during his tour of Toronto with Scott Thompson was really the John Street Pumping Station, Toronto's largest water pumping station, providing for southern Toronto. Run under the department of Water & Wastewater Services, the Station is located just across from the Rogers Centre box office. The Station can be found at 28 Rees Street, just south of Bremner Boulevard. You can call Water & Wastewater Services at (416) 392-4546. |
Take Yonge-University-Spadina subway line to Union Station. Walk east on Front Street West to Bay Street, and turn left to head south on Bay, towards Lakeshore Boulevard West. Turn right onto Lakeshore, and head west to Rees Street. Turn right on Rees, to the John Street Pumping Station, on the west side of Rees Street.
As well, the John Street Pumping Station can be accessed from Rogers Centre via the underground PATH system from Union Station.
