Built in 1927 for the royal visit of Prince Edward and Prince George, this luxurious entrance to the east end of Exhibiton Place has become a landmark, for its architectural beauty and national significance. Arched atop the centre of the structure is Winged Victory, to guide Canada into the future. The gates appeared in the opening Late Night video. The Princes' Gate can be found at 1 Princes' Boulevard, just west of Strachan Avenue. You can call Exhibition Place at (416) 393-6300. |
Take Yonge-University-Spadina subway line to Union Station. Board 509 Harbourfront streetcar heading westbound along Lakeshore Boulevard West. Get off streetcar at Strachan Avenue, and continue west to the Princes' Gate, at the corner of Strachan Avenue and Princes' Boulevard.
