 November 5: Negotiations begin between Peter Soumalias and NBC, regarding filming episodes of Late Night in Toronto.
November 10: O'Brien, Soumalias and Late Night producer Jeff Ross are spotted scouting the city for filming locations. Possible venues include the Bluma Appel Theatre, the John Bassett Theatre, Convocation Hall, the Harbourfront Centre Theatre, the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre and The Second City. Conan is also seen eating lunch at Canoe restaurant.
December 4: Conan and NBC sign a tentative deal to bring four tapings to the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre, from February 7-10, 2004.
December 15: O'Brien holds a press conference at Le Royal Meridien King Edward hotel, to announce four tapings from February 10-13 at the Elgin Theatre.
 January 8: The Ontario provincial tourism industry announce they are paying $1 million in taxes to bring Late Night to Toronto; $500,000 of the million will come from provincial funds, $400,000 from the Toronto03 Alliance, and $100,000 from Labatt Breweries.
January 12: NBC organizers announce that tickets will be awarded via an online lottery through NBC.com. 50,000 people would later apply, for a venue that can only hold 1300 per episode.
January 20: NBC organizers confirm appearances by Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Michael J. Fox, Eric McCormack, Barenaked Ladies and Nickelback.
January 26: Conan and the NBC crew film out-of-studio segments around Toronto, many of which aired on the February 11 tour with Scott Thompson. Conan was spotted by University of Toronto student Geoff Ho on the Bloor-Danforth subway line at Bloor-Yonge Station, on an eastbound train (he is the guy in the clip with the Palm Pilot, in a photo with Conan and Scott).
January 27: Conan and the NBC crew film out-of-studio segments in Niagara Falls, along the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to air on February 13.
January 28: Conan and the NBC crew film out-of-studio segments in Etobicoke, at the Lakeshore Lions Arena, for the sketch with the Toronto Maple Leafs to air February 10.
February 7: Conan and the NBC crew dines at Susur.
February 8: Conan and the NBC crew are scheduled to dine at Sotto Sotto, but are forced to cancel due to scheduling conflicts; however, Conan, Soumalias and Ross did dine here during their visit in November.
February 9: Conan makes his first Canadian public appearance on MuchMusic's request show, MuchOnDemand. He requests "Closer To The Heart" by Rush and "The Hardest Button To Button" by The White Stripes. Later that evening, Conan and the NBC crew spend the night at Revival, where members of the Max Weinberg 7 join the house band to play for 300+ clubgoers.
February 10: The first of four episodes of Late Night In Toronto is aired, featuring film star Mike Myers and comedian Ron James. Other highlights included Conan practicing with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the first official "Canadian Small Talk Moment," and the Canadian debut of the Masturbating Bear. Later that night, Conan is presented an ice key to the "World's Coolest Winter City," and a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey by Toronto Mayor David Miller at the C-Lounge nightclub, complete with ice throne for Conan to reign over. Conan and the NBC crew then end the night with a party at the Stone Distillery Fermenting Room, sponsored by Fashion magazine.
February 11: The second of four episodes of Late Night In Toronto is aired, featuring film star Michael J. Fox, world champion moose caller Ken Capling, and musical guest Nickelback. Other highlights included Conan's tour of Toronto with Scott Thompson, the first "Tower Challenge" between the CN Tower and the Seattle Space Needle, and the exciting game Spot The American. Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation and the Toronto03 Alliance then host a cocktail party in the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre for Conan and the Late Night crew the same evening.
February 12: The third of four episodes of Late Night In Toronto is aired, featuring film star Adam Sandler, and musical guest Stompin' Tom Connors. Other highlights included Triumph the Insult Comic Dog's extremely controversial visit to the Quebec City Carnaval, Preparation H Raymond's "conversion," and Joel Godard's wedding announcement. A wrap party for the Late Night cast and crew is thrown at Fionn MacCool's Irish Pub.
February 13: The final episode of Late Night In Toronto is aired, featuring film star Jim Carrey, television star Eric McCormack and musical guest Barenaked Ladies. Other highlights included Conan's defense of the Canadian border, a wild musical number by O'Brien and Carrey, and the final "Battle of the Towers," where the CN Tower swept the Seattle Needle 3 wins to 0.
February 18: On the first episode of Late Night back in New York City, Conan offers a comedic apology to the people of Quebec for the antics of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on February 12. As well, a skit featuring writer Andy Blitz taking a taxicab from New York City to Toronto is aired.
May 5: Late Night guest enthomologist Pierre Brossard of the Montreal Insectarium appears on Conan, and surprises Conan (as well as guest Mila Kunis) with a measure of revenge for Brossard's home province of Quebec, lampooned by Triumph The Insult Comic Dog while Conan filmed in Toronto, punishing Conan by littering various creepy crawlers over his body throughout the entire segment.
July 7: Noting a series between the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto, Late Night stages a rematch of the famed Battle Towers between the CN Tower and the Seattle Space Needle, as they faced off in a lap around the infield for tower dominance, with a drunken FedEx Pope presiding over the competition.
